The Baadal Tote is a celebration of craft, color, and quiet ingenuity. Hand-appliquéd on upcycled brown canvas, the sweeping half-circle design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese fans — stitched from fabric saved from old Eastern-wear shirts and soft cotton textiles. Bold patterns in red, yellow, teal, and maroon are arranged in a rhythmic arc, making each piece feel like wearable heritage.
This tote was cut and assembled by women artisans and finished by seamstresses in our founder’s home studio. Lightweight yet structured, Baadal carries everyday function in a form that feels timeless and artful.
“Baadal” means cloud in Urdu — chosen for the sweeping arc of colors that mirrors a fan opening into the sky.

We currently ship across the United States, with standard delivery timelines of 4–7 business days once your order is dispatched. You'll receive a tracking link via email as soon as your tote is on its way.
Every tote is packed with care in minimal, recyclable packaging. Because we’re a small studio focused on sustainability, please allow 2–3 business days for order processing before dispatch.
Returns & Exchanges
We craft each Karachi Tote one at a time, using rescued fabric and human hands — not machines. That means no two totes are exactly the same, and slight variations are part of what makes yours truly one of one.
With that in mind, we encourage mindful shopping to reduce waste and unnecessary returns.
That said, if you’re truly not happy with your purchase, here’s what we offer:
Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery
Tote must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition with tags and packaging intact
Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless item arrived damaged or incorrect
Exchanges are also possible within 7 days for another available style of equal value

Note on Handmade Products
Each tote passes through careful quality checks before it reaches you. However, because we work with upcycled fabrics — some more than a decade old — and handcrafted processes, there may be slight imperfections or signs of wear in vintage materials. These are not flaws but signatures of the tote’s story.
